Throughout life many go through focusing mainly on their own problems and own thoughts. The film 'lift" written and directed by Mark Issacs, portrays both a comical yet touching story about residents in an apartment complex situated in London city, whilst documenting their day to day lives. Many of the themes throughout the film are broad and focus on aspects we ourselves see on a daily basis. For instance its moves from themes of love, relationships, life, childhood and finally religion. While watching this film, a number of emotions are portrayed and felt by the audience. From the sadness of one story to the laughter over another, the director uses many different aspects from characters to themes in an effortless way. Mark Issac's 'lift' is an interesting story that portrays the everyday lives of residents living in a London tower block, as well as introducing the audience to a fly on the wall perspective of life itself.
